Dictator/ Dictatorship- A ruler with total power over a country, this power is normally held with force.
Corrupt- Willingness to act dishonestly for money or personal gain.

Nationalism- An pride in ones country and willingness to do anything to upkeep nations status. Often would discriminate against over nationalities/ races.
Totalitarian/ Totalitarianism- A system of government which is dictational and an undemocratic way of ruling
Discrimination- An intolerance of a group of people or things: race, age sex, class etc.
The Reign of Terror- A Stage in a revolution where, after the takeover, mass violence would be used to threaten anyone from attempting to reform to the previous system.

Imperialism- Colonising land that doesn't belong to you and establishing economic or political dominance over another nation.

Communism- Belief in everybody being equal (although in practice, there often is a huge difference of equality between the government and people)
Socialist/ Socialism- Belief in the production and distribution of goods owned and shared by the society, not by private individuals.
'Coolie’- An asian slave laborer, often from India, China and some over Asian countries.
Oppressed- A subject to harsh authoritarian treatment
Allegory- A story, picture or poem that has hidden meaning, typically moral or political.
Ally/ Allies- A united collection or relation between countries, often sealed with a treaty. (Russia and Great Britain during the war)
Satire- The use of humor, irony and exaggeration to ridicule and crititise peoples stupidity
Symbolism- The use of symbols to represent ideas.
